What colour LED do I need?

RED Light Therapy: For calming and plumping
(Wavelength between 620nm to 750nm)
Used for its anti-aging benefits because of its ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Also believed to reduce cytokines, which cause inflammation.

At the lighter end of the spectrum, red light works to soothe inflammation and redness, while deeper shades penetrate the skin further to prompt cellular repair and circulation, resulting in a plumper, more vibrant complexion.

BLUE Light Therapy: For acne and breakouts
(Wavelength between 405nm to 420nm)
Used for its antibacterial benefits and therefore used in acne treatment. This specific wavelength stimulates the production of oxygen radicals that kill P. Acnes bacteria (the acne-causing bacteria), without damaging the skin.

Blue light is used to kill the bacteria that leads to breakouts, making it ideal for treating acne-prone skin. Blue light also helps purify the pores and regulate oil glands. Commonly combined with red light.

Usage

Before you begin, ensure your mask is charged using provided Micro-USB cable (est. 30 mins)

Instructions

Cleanse your skin thoroughly to remove make-up and oil, ensuring your skin is bare. (The shine from skincare products will cause a reflection, meaning the wavelengths of the light won’t penetrate as deeply.)
Place the shield comfortably over your face. (Although there are no lights around the eye area of this mask, it's best to wear eye protection/goggles when using any LED face masks to protect your eyes.)
Press the power button located on the device to start your LED therapy session
To switch to another color press the power button to select between Red, Blue, or Amber depending on desired treatment therapy
The mask is on a self-timer in 15-minute increments.
To power down press and hold the power button until the light has turned off (about 2-3 seconds)
Apply products after your treatment, as the boost in circulation will enhance absorption.
