IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
Yoni eggs getting lost inside is a common fear, but it's actually not true. Your vagina is a one-way street, and the cervix acts as a gateway between the vagina and the uterus. The egg cannot go up into the uterus. It will always come out when you're ready to remove it!
Yoni eggs are NOT one-size-fits-all. Everybody is different, and it's important to choose the right size for you. Consider factors like childbirth experience and muscle tone when selecting a yoni egg.
How to use your yoni eggs:
Cleanse the yoni egg: Before your first use and after each use, thoroughly clean the yoni egg with warm water and a mild, non-toxic soap. Rinse it well to remove any residue.
Prepare yourself: Find a comfortable and private space where you can relax. Take a few deep breaths and set positive intentions for your yoni egg practice.
Lubrication: Apply a water-based lubricant to the yoni egg and the opening of your vagina to ease insertion. Avoid using oils or silicone-based lubricants, as they can damage certain types of yoni eggs.
Insertion: Gently insert the yoni egg into your vagina with the wider end first. Use your pelvic floor muscles to guide it upwards until it feels comfortable and secure. Take your time and listen to your body.
Connection and movement: Once the yoni egg is inserted, focus on connecting with your body. You can perform kegel exercises by contracting and relaxing your pelvic floor muscles while the yoni egg is in place. Experiment with different movements, such as walking, squatting, or gentle yoga poses, to feel the effects of the weight resistance.
Duration: Start with shorter durations, around 10-15 minutes, and gradually increase the time as you become more comfortable. Some individuals may choose to wear the yoni egg for up to 30 minutes to an hour. Listen to your body and do what feels right for you.
Removal: When you're ready to remove the yoni egg, relax your pelvic floor muscles and gently bear down as if you are having a bowel movement. Use your fingers to reach for the wider end of the yoni egg and gently guide it out. If you have a drilled yoni egg, you can also use the attached string for easier removal.
Cleaning and storage: After use, clean the yoni egg again using warm water and a mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and pat it dry with a clean towel. Store it in a clean and dry place, preferably in a pouch or container designated for your yoni egg.
Remember, these directions are general guidelines, and it's important to listen to your body's cues and adjust accordingly. If you experience any discomfort or pain, discontinue use and consult with a healthcare professional.
