But there’s no need to be embarrassed!

As many as 90% of all women have cellulite in at least one area of their body. While there’s yet a cure to be found for cellulite, it is possible to diminish, as well as prevent it. The easiest way to do this is to know what exactly causes it. has yet to come a cure for cellulite, it is wise to know what causes it, to prevent it or at least diminish your chances of getting it.

So What Is Cellulite?

Cellulite is the appearance of dimples and bumps of subcutaneous fat affecting the texture if the skin.  Many women refer to this texture as either a "cottage cheese" or "orange peel" effect. Cellulite is most commonly developed on the buttocks, thighs, and hips.  Most doctors believe that cellulite is caused by poor circulation and bad elasticity in the skin.

How Does This Happen?

When an over production of fat cells occurs, these fat cells become too large for the natural fibre compartments which hold the skin. These compartments then bulge, as they are trying to accommodate the load. In turn this creates uneven layers of fat underneath the skin’s surface - and cellulite appears.

How Can I Prevent This?

First and foremost try to eat correctly; wherever possible avoid fast foods, starches, fats and sugars. Keep the alcohol levels low ,and drink plenty of fresh uncontaminated water to help flush out the system.  Remember that it is important to keep the circulatory system working at an optimal levels at all times to prevent a sluggish lymphatic system housing impurities and toxins.

Good news is that a 75 % raw food diet is claimed to prevent cellulite forming, to eliminate existing cellulite and to prevent further build up.
